A Single Sigh

A single drop of water
Can cause iron to rust
And one sour grape
Can break your trust.

Sometimes
It's the calm before the storm
Yet other times
The return back to form.

Mountains crumble
To valleys in my dreams
But rivers will
Never flow into streams.

Sometimes
Eyes well up and lips quiver
Tears trickle down
As true form is slowly found.

There's a little fog
There's a little rain
Hardly anything
That remains the same.

Sometimes
It's the calm before the storm.
And when everybody turns a blind eye
Things never end with a single sigh.
